- Bring your bag.
⏩ 16th September
Period Poverty Talk and workshop at Wimbledon Library @mertonartsspace, 6.30 pm – 9.00 pm
Come and meet Anne Nicholls and sew an organic reusable, sustainable pad for periods with no nasty chemicals or plastic. Kind to your body; even kinder to our planet.
Anne will talk about her work in Kenya and the UK with menstruators living in poverty and unable to continue daily life when they have their period.
Education, eradicating the stigma, secrets and reusable pads allow the menstruators to continue their education, not miss school, not have transactional sex for pads, close the gender gap, and help to eradicate the stigma, secrets, and shame that surrounds periods.
This class is free and all materials will be provided.
- A donation to the period poverty fund would be most welcome.
- If you would like more information @thisgirlcan.period
